The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has observed modifications in the login credentials (Email and/or Mobile No.) of several user accounts registered on the Centralized Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Portal for Plastic Packaging between December 2023 and March 2024.
Key Points of the Notification:
User Confirmation Requested: Users with modified credentials were requested to confirm whether these changes were made by them. Several communications were sent via emails, calls, and SMS by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and concerned State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs)/Pollution Control Committees (PCCs).
Pending Responses: It has been observed that several users, including registered Producers, Importers, Brand Owners (PIBOs), and Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs), have not yet responded to the communications issued by CPCB/SPCB/PCC. A list of such users is annexed with this notice for reference (Annexure 1).
Action Required: All concerned PIBOs and PWPs are hereby informed to send their response through email from their registered email ID within 7 days of the issuance of this notice. The response should be sent to [email protected] with a copy to [email protected] to enable further action on the matter.
Consequences of Non-Compliance: Please note that if a response is not received within the specified timeframe, CPCB may be compelled to take necessary actions, including the cancellation of the registration granted to the said accounts on the EPR portal.
