Amendment Order for the Morpholine
The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued the "Morpholine Amendment Order (Quality Control) Order, 2020," scheduled to be effective from the 1st May 2025.
This order applies to goods or articles, specifically Morpholine, and extends to those intended for export.
Goods or articles classified as Morpholine must adhere to the corresponding Indian Standard 12084:2018. They are required to bear the Standard Mark under a license issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards, following Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau is designated as both the certifying and enforcing authority for goods or articles falling under the category of Morpholine.
Any contravention of the provisions outlined in this order is subject to penalties under the provisions of the relevant Act.
This regulatory measure ensures the quality and conformity of Morpholine in the market, promoting standardized practices and safeguarding consumers and the chemical industry.
The certifying and enforcing authority for hinges falls under the purview of the Bureau.
It is emphasized that any violation of the stipulations in this order will lead to penalties as per the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
