BIS QCO for H Acid
The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has introduced the H Acid (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2025, which will take effect on the 13th day of May, 2026.
Scope and Applicability:- The Order applies to goods or articles of H Acid, excluding those intended for export.
- Standards and Certification:
- Goods or articles of H Acid must conform to Indian Standard IS 8637:2020.
- These goods must bear the Standard Mark under a license issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
- Certifying and Enforcing Authority
- The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for goods or articles of H Acid.
