Manufacturers must obtain a license from the Bureau under Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

It's important to note that this order excludes goods or articles manufactured domestically for export.

Additionally, goods produced domestically by enterprises registered under the "Udyam portal" of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, meeting specific financial criteria, are exempted.

The Bureau is designated as both the certifying and enforcing authority for Electric Ceiling Type Fans.

Any contravention of this order is subject to penalties under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
